For operators

Turn your empty seats into revenue

Most coaches leave with seats unsold. Coach Seat lists them to riders looking for a trip, at no cost to you unless a seat actually books.

Why operators list with us

No upfront cost, no risk

Listing is free and takes a few minutes. You keep full control of your prices, your schedule and your trips. We only get paid when you do, so there's no reason not to list a seat that would otherwise run empty.

How it works

Four steps to your first booking

From listing a trip to getting paid.

1

List your trip

Add the route, dates, price and available seats. You set the price, we never change it.

2

Riders find and book

Your trip appears to riders searching near your departure point, with your rating and history alongside it.

3

Seats fill up

Track bookings as they come in from your operator dashboard, right up until departure.

4

Get paid

Payouts land a few days after the trip runs, minus our commission. Nothing else to chase.

Commission, not fees

We only earn when you do

There's no subscription, no listing fee and no charge for a seat that doesn't sell. When a seat books, we keep a small percentage of that booking. That's the entire commercial relationship. Any offer or discount you choose to run comes out of your own price, never out of our commission, and we never add anything to what you charge.

Last-minute inventory

Seat Sales, for seats you're about to lose anyway

If a trip is close to departure and still has empty seats, list it under Seat Sales at whatever price you're prepared to accept rather than run it empty. The same commission-only structure applies, we only take a cut if the seat actually sells.

What we look for

Before your first listing goes live

A valid operator's licence

PSV operator's licence appropriate to the routes you plan to run.

Public liability insurance

Current, adequate cover for passengers and third parties.

Roadworthy vehicles

Valid MOT and maintenance records for every coach you list trips against.

We check these before your first listing goes live. It's a one-off check, not a recurring approval process.

Common questions

From operators considering Coach Seat

How much does it cost to list?

Nothing. Listing is free, and there's no charge for a trip or seat sale that doesn't sell. We only take a commission on seats that actually book.

Can I set my own prices?

Yes, entirely. We never add to or adjust the price you set, on a standard listing or a Seat Sale.

When do I get paid?

Payouts are released a few days after each trip departs, once we've confirmed it ran, with our commission already deducted.

What if a trip is cancelled or delayed?

As the operator, you're responsible for the trip itself and for any refunds owed. We'll pass on and action refund requests promptly on your behalf. Full detail is in our terms.

What's Seat Sales?

A separate listing type for seats close to departure that you'd rather discount than run empty. Same free listing, same commission-only structure.
